Half marathon finished ✔️😊
It did not really go as planned… I did use a Pace-Pro Strategie on my Garmin watch to reach a negative split and finish with an average of 5:22min/km. That didn’t work… I started way too fast and ran the first ~7km faster than the splits said. Then I was able to reach the split times. But after 10k (first round) I couldn’t go much faster than 5:20min/km any longer… it was like 25°C, I had water with me and also took half of a gel at ~8km, 12km and the bit that was left at ~16km. Still my legs, especially my hip flexors, started to feel very heavy. I took a few slow meters at 14km and 16km, I think that killed the splits. The few seconds I started out too fast weren’t enough to reach the 5:22min/km in the end… I also couldn’t do a real sprint in the end because of the cobble stone around the start/finish area. Still this half marathon was a bit faster than my last one.
Also my watch says I need 84 hours of recovery and my training readiness is at 4/100 😅
